The Return of the Blob
Magneto is back on the prowl for new mutants, and it doesn’t take long for him to discover the Blob. I’m really glad to see this guy come back so soon. He’s a terrific villain, circus attack aside. His mutant power is so simple, yet it makes him a surprisingly formidable opponent.
Magneto arrives at the carnival to recruit him and blends right in with the atmosphere.
Magneto approaches the Blob with the same smug there’s-no-way-he-wouldn’t-join-my-club attitude that the Professor did. It’s no surprise those guys used to be friends. And the Blob reacts the same way he did before. Like Namor, he tends to beat people up who try to be his friend.
It doesn’t take long for things to go bad, and at the end of the day the Blob still doesn’t have any friends, just how he likes it.
Magneto blames his own incompetence on the Blob. Scarlet Witch has taken almost all the kidnapping and attempted murder that she can stomach. I’m wondering how long it’s going to take before these two siblings grow a pair.
